+1 on the fireproof fuel line sleeves. the way both fuel lines go directly over the red-hot exhaust is a very bad design flaw and is the #1 cause for total loss due to engine fire in a 951. more info in this old thread:

still putting on break-in miles. visit a near by grass strip airport where I hope to hangar a LSA plane in the spring. hope to get enough from selling the 951 for a decent plane.

so the 951 is for sale, but not officially listing until I finish the break-in miles and retention the belts. but if interested get in touch.

took another nice drive yesterday to Rabbit Hash, KY. wish I had taken some of the signs for Mayor. all dogs... serious. they have had dogs for mayors for years.

that is an outhouse behind the car, bucks on left does on right.

the store was originally built in 1831 I think. a few years ago it burned and they had to tear it down to the floor and rebuilt. did a great job as it looks just like it did.

the drive there and back has some great winding roads to enjoy.

Very cool! I'm on the look out for someone that wants to share a Pitts (S2A preferred) to have some aviation fun, good luck!

after the winter hiatus back to driving the 944. encountered a cold start issue fixed by replacing the coolant temp sensor DME uses to add fuel for cold start. starts every time now and runs great.

next week will retention the TB , balance, and access belts and it is ready to GO.....

about to list for sale. just have to accept at 70 I don't want to be one of those 'old guys' at the track driving slower and slower.....

considered replacing the alum seats with stock and keeping it for a driver. but the upgraded suspension is a bit harsh. but almost all the accessories work, AC, PW, PDL, PM, int wipers, hatch release. the cruise control seems to work occasionally but I just keep it disconnected.

sold my 84 928 end of last year. so now to focus on the 911 restoration project.

once 944 sold I'll find another driver - TBD
