Anyone have 964 wide conversion exp?

I’m going from NB to wide and I’m deciding on flares now. I understand that most flares or fenders require some modification to fit the 964 fuel door. Anyone have any experience or details they can share? I can’t ge my head around how a bonded or welded flare would impact the gas door.... maybe a new fenders all together.

Thanks!

BTDT - I used the original stock c2 fenders and welded on metal flares - I didn't have a problem with gas filler door so not sure what that issue is about. If you are going to use stock rocker panels and shark fins the flares must be positioned accurately so the rockers fit. Additionally there is a lot of work making reliefs in the body for the attachment clips. I am told some people end up gluing the rockers on. Also I couldn't find fender liner parts and supports used so along with buying new fender liners ($$) you have to add supports for them that are different from the C2 , some of these supports are NLA from Porsche.

Thanks! I have a parts car so my thought is that I will cut out the rocker grommet recesses andctack them into the new flares.... or bond if I go fiberglass. I think the interesting thing is going to be mocking everything up to a high tolerance for fit before actually putting it together. I think I will likely have to end up gabbing my own liners if a can’t find some..... which could work to my benefit as I make the ducting for the front brake vents.
