Exclamation Fuel sender unit test procedure needed

1995 993 C2 coupe.

I just replaced this one 18 months ago with an OE unit from Pelican. Now the gauge is reading empty with a full tank again. Just want to confirm this is the same issue since the part isn’t that old.

This is the 2 wire fuel sender. No module on top. Is there a reading range for full and empty I can check with an ohm meter? If the unit turns out ok, what other items could cause the empty reading?
