Cross posting this on the 964 technical forum in hopes of finding a rear lid RS America emblem. Thank you.

The America Emblems have been NLA for a long time. I have one was in new condition but dropped it and it and broke into several pieces. Sadly they have seen as much as $2500 for a new unused one.
GL might be easier to find someone to plastic print one.

Cobalt - thank you, and yes, I'm researching the idea of having one made. Is your 'broken' one fixable and would you sell it?

I used to make RS America Emblems
Wow, $2500 for a new one. Wonder what a repo would go for?
I used to make RS America emblems. I just checked and have about 10 rough fiberglass castings. The 1st set I made is still on my RS America, 16-17 years now and I run her through car washes, it's still there. Anyway, it's too pretty of a car to have the Incorrect emblems. Just sent you a message, call me The pics, my spare and rough casting. 2nd the emblem on my RSA after 16-17 years. |

Well today is Steve's lucky day. I told him i"d make him a set. While digging out the stuff to make them, I found a Fully Finished Set, ready to ship. Steve should buy a Lottery Ticket.

Steve thanks for the PM.
Apsal, I’m really looking for the “America” emblem. The RS America was my dream Porsche when I was a young fella and has been the vision for the build of my car. I wish Porsche had continued the no nonsense philosophy of an “American” drivers car. |

Appreciate the words of support! I often wonder how RS America owners would respond to a 996 C2 built in the spirit of an RS America when it comes to the emblem.
TBH, the nearer to completion I get, the more I can see why Porsche didn’t do another one. There is really nothing a 996 GT3 can do, that this car wouldn’t be able to measure up to. And from a Porsche accountant view point, there’s no profit in giving the customer EXACTLY what they want lol!! |

Big thanks to 73pcar for the hookup and by extension, thanks to RS America for making the emblems. I’m proud of my 996 build and I think I captured the spirit of what the RS America was and should’ve continued to be! As a young guy chewing through car and motorcycle magazines, it was the Porsche that seemed attainable and embodied the ideal drivers car. Who would’ve ever thought that the cheapest 911 would become the icon it did!
