What engine oil are you using in your 993?
I've owned Porsches for over 20 years and have always used Mobil1 oil. I just bought my first 993, a 95 C4 Cab, and the shop that did the PPI (and who seemed to know what they were doing) told me Mobil1 ain't what it used to be and recommended Motul, Total or Liqui Moly. Anybody have any insight to share here?
Thanks. Ken |

I’m running Driven DT50 in my 964 and it seems to love it. Runs quiet and smooth with minimal startup noise even after sitting a couple of weeks. I’ve heard good things about Liqui Moly as well.

So Porsche recommends M1 20-50 synthetic. Lots of folks including myself with use Motul and some others but that is what Porsche recommends.

Driven HR1. I will likely go to DT50 after oil change in 2000 miles. 3.6 VRAM newly rebuilt
