Price check: '95 993 in Northern CA
Hi,
I'm looking at a '95 993 sunroof coupe, and would appreciate some quick advice on pricing: White/black. Early model with basket handle rear light bar. 63K miles. Private party sale - One owner with all records. Dealer serviced. The not-so good: Original shocks, original flywheel and clutch. Needs brake rotors in 10K miles, but pads are newish. Slightly leaky RMS, but can wait for a new clutch (probably soon, right?). Needs 60K service (late), but has had the oil changed religiously. The good: New clutch slave cylinder, wiring harness update done. Passed a PPI with great compression/leakdown numbers. New tires, perfect exterior, perfect interior. Looks new. 17" Cup wheels. I'm in Northern CA. Can you ballpark what you think this car is worth?

I recently bought a '95 red/tan Coupe with 31k miles and paid mid $30's and the car is a strong 9 1/2 out of 10 with no issues whatsoever.
My guess would be upper $20's (and perhaps $30k on a good day), but I don't know if the California market is higher than in Nashville or not...probably is. |

Colin, the 60,000 mi. service will probably cost over $1k if done at a dealer. You are also looking at about $1100 for Bilstein HD shocks/struts- don't even think about stock replacements. About $350 for springs if you want to lower and/or stiffen the car a bit.
About $500-$1000 to install , align and corner balance. You would probably also want to go with larger sway bars while you're at it. about $400. Rotors, pads, sensors, spiders will cost about $700. As for the original question- value. Considering your description of the interior and exterior as being 'perfect' - I would say about $30k. $2k either way- depending how quickly he wants to sell it, or how bad someone wants to buy it ![]() good luck, max

Thanks guys. Just picked up the car, and I'm in heaven. It's got such a fantastic, stable and effortless feel to it. A much more "modern" feel, but still has that 911 magic. And it should start up every morning, which will be different, and nice.
![]() I'm going to DIY the 60K as soon as I can get the parts ordered...looking forward to the CV repacking session.... I'll try to post some pictures in the next few days.

Congrats, sounds like a nice car. 4 months ago I sold my white/black 96 here in the Bay Area, so I was going to give you some pricing info on my car, but that's no longer necessary. When I return to the 993 fold I just might go back a year to the 95.

Colin - Congrats on the car !
Check the records and with PO whether this car had the wiring harness replaced. This is a no charge replacement from Porsche. Serious and important issue. I picked up a one owner/no issues/records white/flamenco red 1995 Carerra this January with 32K miles for $36K - its the best car I have ever owned. Watch out for that slippery slope - I've already justified PSS9 coilovers, TRG swaybars, 18in HS Turbo Twists and new Michelin Pilot Sports all as necessary maintenance !
