Bench test airbag control unit?
Anyone have a procedure to bench test an airbag control unit? It's from a '91 964 with the loom attached. I would like to test it out of the car. Not with the hammer. Thanks, Roy

There is no way to do it safely without a hammer\PST-2\PST-3
In a 964, make sure you aren't getting an airbag light caused by the wiring fault in the clock AFJ

AFJ, This is a unit I acquired while troubleshooting my '91. Someone wants to buy it and I wanted to make sure it was good before I sold it. The buyer says his mechanic can bench test it. Of course I'm reluctant to send this off and let someone test it and possibly ruin it. A local respected shop also said he could only test it in the car with a hammer. I guess I'll try and work something out with the potential buyer. Thanks for the reply. Roy
