Porsche Battery vs. DieHard

I need a new battery for my '99 996 with 27K miles. Do I spring for the Porsche battery at $210 or go with the DieHard at $108?
Anything I need to worry about when changing the battery?
Where do you dispose of used batteries? I live in the suburbs and there are no convenient woodsy areas to dump it

Get an interstate MTP-91

Much better than the die hard.

Certainly MUCH better than the Porsche battery

You can also get a NeverStart, I mean EverStart at WalMart. Top of the line will set you back $60. They will take your old one. If anything goes wrong with it, you won't have to look far anywhere in the country, for a free replacement or prorated replacement, depending on it's lifetime.

You leave (or return) your old battery at the place where you bought your new battery.

There is also the optima batteries which a lot of people swear by, in case you don't care for the Wal Mart idea. You should note that there is only a hand full of places that manufacture batteries. The batteries then are sold under different brand names ...

Buy an Optima...eventually you will experience a leaking battery and the mess and damage you can end up with...I had one crack at the track and it leaked acid all over...Optima (or equivalents) for me from now on.
