Order a new engine from Stuggart?
PET has this number 99310026408 as a drop in engine for a 993.
When you key it into Pelican it replies it's a special order item that is non-returnable for $57,000. Would they actually send you a new 993 engine if you added this to the cart and paid for it?

Why not? A 964 engine is $26,000. There was one in Germany this summer when I was contemplating options. for that money I could get a nice 3.8 an redo the bodywork, and put a down payment on a house.

I would reasonably believe if you placed a legitimate order for a $57,000 stock engine, wayne will do his best to fill your order.

Now in 993 land ...

Just try it and report back!
Seriously, if it is listed and you click the order button, I am certain it would go through. The Euro is going through the roof. I am dreading the day that I have to buy any parts for my 993. George |
