Will a manual power steering rack fit in my 964?

My power steering rack leaks like a siv in my '90 C2 and am interested in swapping to a manual rack. Is this a straight forward install? And will early racks ('89 and earlier) work? Thanks a lot guys, Russell.

Can't imagine that an early rack would work. The RSA had a manual rack, but it's spendy.

Early rack will not fit.

Your options are limited to a RS America Manual rack or some sort of after-market rack if one even exists.

What are you going to do with the power steering pump - which runs off the cam?

You can probably just remove the belt, but I know that a block-off is available.

I installed a newer 993 rack. It bolts right up and is a hundred or so less expensive than the lower sales volume 964 part. I forget where I saw the threads, Pelican or Rennsport, with full instructions.
