This is for my 964 turbo to produce 400hp. They sent me the following:

"Base on your goals I am coming up with around 6500 in parts. This was
also updating the head studs. If you want a rebuild kit to do it on your
own which includes bearings, gaskets, glue etc that is 1450.00. What
I don’t know is if you have an intercooler. I would make a suggestion
to add one if not as well as twin plug the system. An intercooler
upgrade is going to depend on if you have AC or not. I have several options.
The other thing I would recommend is added compression and twin plug. I
can shave the cylinders for a half of point bump in CR which adds TQ
and low end drivability. The other way is to add 3.4 pistons and
cylinders which already have the half point pump and also larger. Win/win
situation. It however needs to be twin plugged if you are going to do it.
This is my opinion. That will add apx 2400.00 in equipment and machine
work.

If we put the motor together for you then the coast would be 12K with
just the original number. If you want the intercooler, TP and Ps and
Cs then we need to add that to the cost. Our based blueprinted and
balanced motor is 7900.00. This also includes all the components color coded
via powdercoating. Everything looks brand new upon return. From there
we start adding your goodies. The labor is pretty much the same either
way.

This road map will easily make 400 Wheel HP on our dyno. We have
produced hundreds of build in the same manner. All of our engines come with a
year 12000 mile warranty."

Does this sound like a good deal or am i getting ripped off?

Did you tell them it was for a 964? If so, I would guess this is a canned response.

I have done business with IA and it has always been positive. Do a search on the Rennlist 964 and 930 turbo forums. Stephen posts there all the time.

My 964 T is twin plugged, etc, and depending on the WG springs, will easily make 400 hp.
