intermittent fan

Noticed without any apparent routine that Two controls on the heater console
Demistor button &

fan rotary, decide themselves if they will do anything or not,

when I ask them.....


is their a usual fuse or relay to wiggle about to make them work on demand again?

You may be lucky enough that the switch contacts maybe dirty.
If you can open or find a way to get a contact cleaner in between the contacts, you may not need to replace them.
But you do need to do a continuity test on all switch settings with a digital or analog meter to be certain the problem is on the switches.

Just seemed tiny bit strange the both of them playing up
at same time,

and they both either work perfectly
or both don't work at all
