Blue tooth OBDII scan tool, for iPhone

Just wanted say hey,

I have been a member for a while, I had highly modified 911 GT tribute,423 HP 499 Trq, Some of you may know of my car it was in Dec 2012 Excellence Mag, I think six pages, and had grown use to playing with adjustments, for peak HP, I have alot of posts.

But now i'm waiting a New to me, A California 1997 C2 Cab Blk/blk/tan , I was doing research on what tools that i may need, and I came across this by Lemur, an blue tooth OBDII scan unit that uses you cell phone, to clear codes and all the info you need to diagnose bad sensors ... I ordered one

Some you must already know this... all new to me tho..

You will not have much use for an off-the-shelf bluetooth/cabled OBD reader/scanner. The engine control unit is the one that is OBD2 compatible, and a off-the-shelf OBD tool might be usable to connect to this unit only, and most probaly not be able to access all functons in the Motronic.
There are very few tools that are compatible with the other OBD-enabled units in our cars. (Alarm/air bag/CCU/ABS) As far as I know, is this the list:
- Porsche tools as Bosch KTS 301 (hammer) or later PST2, KTS500 or PIWIS
- Freeware Rennlist Scantool Windows software (serial port adapter or T-OBD needed)
- Durametric Windows software with a proper serial cable
- Jenniskens UDT/PDT999 diagnostic tool

Thank you Tore for the info.

I have already bought it, I'll give it a shot and see what happens and report my findings , But i will be sending out my DME to Reensport to reprogram and disable immobilizer,
