965 turbo boost guage problem
So we put a one bar spring in the wastegate of the 91 turbo. Output reading on the tach is .7 bar, same as before. Hmmm.... test the sending unit- proper output to go beyond .7 bar, but to be sure, test with another known good one. Same .7 bar reading. Manual boost guage is showing 1 bar at the sending port under load.
ok- follow the schematic to the blue relay hidden behind the hood hinge, replace= still .7 bar help please!

The factory guage won't go any higher than .7 bar. I had 1.1 worth of springs in my Tial when I bought it, and it wouldn't go higher than .7 bar. Currently I have a .8 bar spring in there and it maxes out at .7.

.7 is the maximum reading , so whats so important .I've had a 1 bar spring for years and have never missed a boost guage confirmation. I would like to have the vdo guage with the key reset that went with my 930.

the 993 gauge maxes at 0.8 bar. All these years and no EE has come up with a mod to unlimit the display?

Buy a in your face gauge from Dave he makes it look stock.. I love mine does AFR/ EGT Boost..
