2 small irritating problems.

A couple of minor problems with my passenger door, my 993 the door jam keeps clicking and I think it has broken loose. Secondly, the lid is sinking below the bin (pouch) are there any fixes for these 2 minor and irritating issues?

Thank you in advance.

I fixed my door pouches by replacing the screws. I got the screws from Pep Boys (interior screws) and took all the old screws out and bingo as good as new. Now as far as the door latch it looks broken. I had this happen on my race car and never fixed it because I was told it was very expensive to fix.

Door check strap.

In my older Porsche, the door pocket was failing/cracking under the armrest. I made a small bracket to hold the halves together, that eliminated the falling armrest.

The door card can get damaged from water ingress - this can cause the bin to sink. I stripped mine down and made new cards templated in hardboard - uses some special fixings available on ebay. I have fully photographed the entire process for a future article for the PCGB but unsure if it's actually that interesting.

We'd love to have a DIY here for the archive and suggest you also send to pcarworkshopcom

Thanks!
