Unbelievable! I doubted there could be such a simple solution after all these years but gave IMMO BLOCK a try. WOW. Piece of cake to install (less than 10 minutes), even for this DIY dummy. No more fiddling with the the FOB. Does everything it claims. Pelican Parts stocks it.

Get a copy of the Service bulletin for 96. About 5 pages dedicated to how it works, how many random code generators it sends in every press of the fob I think 66800. The communication to the sparkplugs and the pump as well as lights, door, radio, etc. It’s really 90s humourless.

FYI - For anyone using the IMMO BLOCK defeat, there's a way you can hook it up to the car and not have to worry about changing the 9v battery. The battery lasts 2 years, but it's the type of thing you can forget, plus if the car ever changes hands, the new owner might not know the device is even installed.
