Will 996 gt3 seats bolt into a 993?

Hi, if the seat police can guide me on wether 996 gt3 seats are a direct bolt in fit with electrical and all else, I would be very grateful.

thank you.

Check over on Rennlist's 964 Aire-cooled Forum. Brey-Krause now offers a kit for bolting in a 996/988/987/997 seat. Runs about $140 per seat. Supposed to bypass pounding on front tabs of these seats, but I think he said that the locating pin still needed ground off. The wiring harness is still different, so rewiring is necessary. Don't know about implications of side airbags though.

I have put them in a 964 with little issue using the 996 sliders. See my post in the 964 section for installed pics.
I wouldn't spend $140 for an "adapter". The tabs are easily bent and the locating pins pretty easily removed.

Did you lose or gain any head room with the 996 seats?

Gained headroom and leg room and in a Speedster, that's a good thing.
Wiring was not the same but an easy fix.
On prices, the funny thing is that they are a lot like the 993 hardback sport seats but seem to be a lot cheaper.
I think these things are a deal at $2500.
On looks, they look as normal in a 964 as the 993 seats would.
Anybody have some good pics of the 993 hardbacks to compare them to?
