Window motor issue
My right side window motor is giving me trouble.
Here is the situation... One night recently one of my window motor switches seems to have jammed in the up position. When I got in the car the next morning the battery was dead and I noticed the window switch stuck up (figured that drained the battery). Now that window is giving me lots of trouble. Its always been somewhat slow to go up and down, however, now the window does not operate unless I reach in and jiggle the window motor. The rivets that seem to mount the window motor to the motor mounting plate seem to be slightly loose. I'd like to put my door panel back on and have a working window... Any ideas? Thanks, Jeff |

I recently had to replace the window motor after the switch was stuck in the up position for a few days. I bought the replacement motor that came with the "gearbox" attached, but only swapped the motors. There are two torx screws that hold the motor to the gear box, and was able to replace the motor without too much trouble.
