Replacing ignition switch - 993 - 1996 - recommendations

Any recommendations on procedures to replace the ignition switch in 993 would be extremely helpful. What do I need to remove to reach it? Though I would ask your advice before taking the complete dash apart. Thx, dm

I wonder what the manual says for this... When I did it on my 98 it was a nightmare. Unlike the 911 that has and allen screw for the steering wheel lock, the 993 has a shear bolt and it's located on the top of the column if I remember correctly. I removed all of the instruments for easier access.
