track inspections?
Hi all,
I was looking at a 92 C2 at Park Place today, (PNW) and in the history file there were several PCNA Track inspections that were performed. Is getting these inspections normal? they were only about $35- $50 or are they a give away that the car was used in DE classes? the salesman was quick to point out that they were harmless driver training for the PO's girlfriend, but I would like to tap into the collective experience here. Lastly, how close are the www.edmunds.com prices on these vehicles? Thanks in advance Russ |

DE inspections are required by all PCA regions. Therefore it is a good bet that the car was driven on the track.
It doesn't necessarily mean that there was any harm done. In fact a properly cared for track car often gets better attention than a street car because the rigors of track use tend to require that every system of the car is in top shape. As for the salesman's comment you should take it with a grain of salt. How does the salesman know that it was the PO's girlfriend? He probably bought the car at a wholesale auction and never knew the PO.
