The Line Starts Here... Rauh Welt in America

Freedom, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness the Rauh-Welt way. RWB is now Red, White and Blue.

I know many of us have waited a very long time for this to materialize, so here it is...

Who wants to join me in being the first to have an AUTHENTIC Rauh-Welt car in North America, built by the legendary Japanese tuner Nakai-san?

Years in the works, I have finally convinced Akira Nakai to come to the USA to do my car and several others.

If you look at the official Rauh-Welt blog,(RWB) you will see my slate grey RUF RCT EVO powered 964 cab with the 993 top, as an upcoming project. Who else wants to live the RWB dream and take his own car to the consummate height of Porsche styling?

This is your only opportunity to have a chance to possess one of the most exclusive Porsches on the planet, created by one of the most reclusive and talented Porsche tuners in the world.

Not for the faint of heart, nor shallow pockets.

Pm me for further details or any questions.

Good news indeed.
Here's hoping that he finds enough business in the U.S. that keeps him here a long time.
I'm thinking that the west coast will be fertile ground for him.

did you ever close in on arrangements for nakai to trip over?

with our relocation back to tokyo, & having corresponded with him previously, my wife & i trained out to kashiwa and met with nakai-san.

very courteous guy, and interesting. yes its true he does sleep in his shop...which most nights he keeps open til 3 or 4 a.m. for friends, fellow racers, former customers or those interested in cars, his work to stop by (likely consuming his favorite beverage, stella artois).

has a huge following here....and is interested that he is receiving (unsolicited) offshore inquiries. has hired an english speaker in kobe if decision is made to take his "style" offshore.

he is no rush to pursue global biz it seems...has all the work he can handle, & tends to take only those projects that interest him. he had 3 projects underway in the shop & 6 or 7 outside waiting, & w waiting for customer pickup. a kiwi will be calling in next wkend to discuss a specific project.

HIS DAILY DRIVER

HIS TRACK CAR which he will race next month

PROJECTS ON HAND

BUSINESS END OF THE SHOP (desk is a pool table covered with sheet of mylar)

GBC - Can you give me his address and tel no? I am planning a trip to Japan within the year and would like to visit his shop. I am based in the Philippines and would like to hook up to some Japanese enthusiasts over there. My 993 came from Japan from an auction.

I visited Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto last July 2010 and really liked the culture and food!

Can I call you? Pls send your and Akira Nakai's contact details to pmutuc@gmail.com.

Thanks

i'm with mamut........i don't get it!

you really all think riveting big arches on and big rear spoilers is so attractive?

it's unsubtle irrespective of it's effectiveness.........typically japanese.

give me the german tuners any day.

Its all a matter of choice and opinion. One mans junk is another mans treasure. I would keep one of the RWB cars as treasure but that just my opinion.

being subtle is definitely not the case with RWB, or many of the rsr "clones" in n.amer. (& actually i would class his build closer to these, & not typically jpnese at all ).

i cannot argue with you or anyone's personal opinions.....
really i do not want to encourage debate on the merits of these builds.

the purpose of posting to the thread was was for those 911,964,993 followers who appreciate some of the rwb builds ( admittedly he does have a following) to be kept updated.

cheers
