964 rear wing conversion
Having owned an 88 proir to my 964, I have been contemplating changing the automatic rear wing to a conventional fixed wing. I was looking for experiences with product fit and finish for the replica wings, and what type of mods are requried to the rear lid. I like the look of the turbo style. Is the 964 turbo wing same as the earlier type turbo wings? Also, will the early carrera wing fit a 964. It looks like the RS america type wings are very similar to the early type wings.. Any input is most appreciated. Thanks.

Ask team5150, Tom had( I don't know if he still has it) a white 964 targa with an aftermarket rear wing.

The old 930 or 911 Tails will fit your 964 but you have to Change the complete Lid,depening on the year 964 round or tiangled rear Latch you have to change the catch on the Hood,if you have the round hole the old Spring/Bolt type will work.If you want to sell the 964 Taillid i am interested. The 965 rear wing is basically a slight modified late 930 wing with a own wireloom. If you stick in the 965 wireloom and remove the 964 rearwingrelayunit ( and place a pipe to cover the connector ) you have the 965 conversion. Grüsse |

I'm looking for a 964 lid if you convert...
If you find a fixed tail you're happy with, Im trying to find a 964 lid/hinges and wing for my SC. Send me an email of call if you're interested.
