As I said the solid sides are not at all objectionable to me for street use and they really nail down the rear end on track It would be really interesting to see how the sport versions Chuck has work |
Ok... all 8 bushes finally bought, assembled and here is the conclusion:
In fact the rear end is much more stable. Been trying the car this week-end and almost had an accident. Suddenly, the front end starts to "float"... Really scary!! Does the more experienced guys have an opinion about this? Do you think being driving the car for a while with loose rear bushes, may have forced the front bushes and I should replace them as well??? |

also an alignment and corner balance by someone that knows what they are doing is essential once the new parts have been installed, Elephant has some very nice sport hardness front bushes that work great |
Hi Bill,
Yes, next stage will be changing the front bushes. Anyway, I doubt they are bad because I have change them around 8000 kms ago.... and they are hard Powerflex ones... I remember that when I assembled them the ride was perfect! Almost everything on the suspension is new. The one things missing are rear and front shock's top mounts... Now I suspect the rear top mounts are dameged because the twisty behaviour is more evident at he rear... I am becoming desperate! |
