99 Boxster Won't Start
Looking for ideas and theories from someone more experienced than me...car won't start:
Battery voltage 12.5. Key turns, all dash lights illuminate. Starter won't turn over, not even a click. Background: I replaced the ignition switch a couple of months ago. A couple of days before I tried starting the car, I shorted the Cigar lighter trying to adjust the tabs to hold a phone charger better while the battery was connected (I know, dumb move). Replaced lighter fuse, lighter works now to charge phone, but radio doesn't and car won't start. While checking all the fuses I found the radio fuse was replaced with a 25A fuse by previous owner. Could this be related? Any ideas?? THANKS! |

Might want to kick this over to the Boxster/Cayman forum...they'd probably have more relevant experience (here: Boxster & Cayman Forum - Pelican Parts Technical BBS)
