Engine electrical plug help

I've been working on a 993. Got it all back together and there are three plugs on the driver side which don't seem to have a place to go. All three plugs are two prong and have yellow gaskets inside. One plug is long enough to reach the distributor and according to another thread may not go anywhere. I checked another motor (different year-aluminum manifold) and it has two air valves with two prong plugs on the manifold, which the car I'm working on (Black plastic manifold) doesn't seem to have, or at least I cant find them. Am I missing something or are these plugs not used?

There are three plugs on a bracket on the forward end of driver's side. For the sensors.

Thanks, but that wasn't it. Turns out there was a recall back in the day and many of the harnesses got replaced with a universal harness that fit all the cars and some would have extra plugs. Car runs perfect.

The harness recall was due to episodes of fire, with the original design. If you don't have the upgrade, you should.

If you do have the upgraded wiring harness and old style rear fan you'll have extra plugs not in use. One of those can mistakenly be plugged into the heat temp sensor and will run on high after you park for 10 min or so draining your battery constantly and sending you on a electrical wild goose chase. Our host received a perfectly good alternator from me as an exchange after my local auto parts store hooked a tester to my battery and showed a bad alt. that's when the chase really picked up. on the upside I have a new alt. battery. And temp sensor.
