Need mechanic Southern California

Help...I'm looking for a good shop to take my 964 I live in valencia, ca. And I'll take my car up to 100 mile for a good shop, sick of not getting answers. Here is what I need, the car runs but, when I get on it, the sensors for the AWD and the alternator come on and then the car starts to die. Any help would be great.

Cheers

+1 for TLG. Marco and Tony are great mechanics and straight shooters to boot.

I have to say that when I took my 964 to Marco at TLG last year due to poor idling and popping of the air box, they weren't able to diagnose what was wrong with it. They are nice and courteous but their only recommendation was that the car needed to be driven. The wealth of information housed on this forum and Rennlist helped me diagnose the real root cause of the issue.

It turns out that The fuel pressure regulator had gone bad and needed replacement. I ended up taking time off work to replace the FPR, along with spark plug wires, and the car runs like a champ. The symptoms you describe sound like a battery voltage issue. They may be able to diagnose and fix it for you but they don't get my vote. Good luck finding a good mechanic!

I wouldn't. Have the scars to prove it.
