993 chassis & 930 motor

I have always wanted a 993, but prices are bonkers, and I really love my 1975 3.3 turbo hotrod. But I have a chance to get a 993 coupe rolling chassis possibly with G50 6 speed trans. So I was wondering what the pros & cons would be of putting my 1989 3.3 turbo motor into a 1995 chassis.

Aside from emissions testing which may be the biggest deal breaker for me being in Ontario Canada. Are there other major obstacles to overcome to make this conversion work? I was thinking my motor with a 6 speed trans and 993 suspension would be and awesome track car. Thoughts?

I like it. Build the 3.3 for HP and turn it into something really special.

Well my tranny is really my big hold up in the power dept. I need something stronger in order to swap to EFI. I'd love to do a 993 hotrod but I don't think emissions in my area will allow it.

Your 75 turbo hot rod sounds like a hoot. You might consider an LS conversion for the 993 roller. LS motors are cheap, light, and powerful.

Just a thought.....

I could never do it because of the emissions as well, but think it's a wicked idea. Pat Williams has built a couple racecars on that formula, one of them was even a really 993 RSR.

Thanks for the responses fellas. I've decided it wasn't for me and the car is already headed to a new home. I'm a hot rodder at heart and a LS swap sounds really cool but for some reason It just doesn't seem right to me to put anything other than a Porsche motor in a Porsche.
