Help please, one of my 993 Headlights is inoperative. If anyone has a copy of the eletrical schematics they can send me, I would be most appreciative.
Thanks, KrS |

Probably the bulb, nothing much else happens to the wiring.

Why my head lamp gave up:
The bulb is kept in place by a steel wire spring. This spring, which turns very hot, is kept in place by a small pcs of plastic, which eventually starts to bend under the head. (See photo) No spare part is available, except to buy a whole new head lamp ;-( On the photo can you see the home made part which I ended up making from an old pen, and it is still holding ;-) Good luck. |

There's a TSB from Porsche that covers this...
You want Part Number 000 043 204 28. TWO kits are required (one for each headlight). It provides a retainer and springclip that will fix you right up.

Dear "1995 C2 Coupe w/tiptronic, Stongard, HID's" ;-)
Very interesting, and thanks for info. I actually brought the whole headlamp down to Porsche HK spare part dept., and with their small eyes did they look in to “the machine” for 10 minutes… and finally replied, “Sorry sir, its all or nothing”. Well, I am not that surprised, it is Hong Kong after all… my wife lost a part on here car, which the original dealer priced at 300 US$ ~ a quick phone call to the same dealer in Denmark came up with the price 35 US$... ____________________ 1994, 993 C2 Tip, Convertible |
