2000 Millenium Edition?
Any thoughts or experience with these? I imagine paintwork is a huge problem. I have never seen one in person, but wonder what I'm missing. A gimmick?

From what I've read, it's just the exterior color, with a 'Millennium' Brown interior, a very slight bump in HP and a short shifter. There was one priced at around $15k a year or so ago - was in good condition, but nothing special.

Thank you. I'm wondering if paintwork is even capable of being matched.

Paint can be match.
We are working in one. He is right. Nothing special. All leather interior that looks better than any 996 but also warps and debonds in hot weather. And I hate the chromed turbo twists |

Thank you for the reply! Is it much different than any other colors to match?
This one has regular silver turbo twists, not sure what happened to the original ones. I also see what you mean about the debonding.

I have #16. Beautiful cars. Special paint full, full natural leather interior, real burled walnut accents and feature virtually all options as standard equipment

Very special cars. Limited edition numbered cars for the new Millennium with only 911 produced. Came with every factory option available at the time painted in special violet chromaflair metallic. All had the standard C4 drivetrain, no x50 power pack like the 25th AE.
Porsche has one preserved and featured in their museum. Prices for the ME in Europe are commanding quite a bit more than a standard 996. Their day will come. |
