2003 targa sway bars

I was doing some work on my 2003 Targa a while back and noticed the Sway Bars are hollow on the car, was that standard or was it an option? I dont believe the codes on the hood sticker show any suspension options. Thanks for any input!

If not mistaken 23mm. Bigger than normal C2 Coupe.

Glad there is another 03 Targa owner out there! Mine has 90k and I’m experiencing VERY slow starting and the occasional slow/sticky roof closing.
Have you had any similar issues? I’m not technically savvy- Thanks!

I do not have any starting or roof issues at this point with around 74,000 on the car. I did an IMS solution on it right after I got it and did a lot of other little stuff like water pump, serpentine belt and idlers. I just pulled it in the shop and sort of went through it but overall in excellent condition. I love the car and the rear hatch that the C2’s lack. There are some good posts out there on serviceing the roof is you start to have trouble with it. On occasion normally after sitting through the snow months my starter will fail to immediatly disengaged and make a little growl but that is about it. Need to change coil packs next summer as I get a misfire error now and then but love the car!
