Battery Disconnection Questions
Hi,
I have a 2004 996TT. Its in storage for winter and wont be used for a couple of months, if I disconnect the battery and close the bonnet will I be able to open it again by using the power lead connection in the drivers (UK car) footwell that I use to open the bonnet when the battery is flat ? Thanks. |

Why not just leave the bonnet ajar?

Well, it ought to work since that's what it's intended for, but if push comes to shove, there should also be an emergency release cable under the front bumper.

If it does not work and you left the battery cover off what you can do is use a long screw driver. Connect the + end of the jumper box to the screwdriver and the - to a ground. Touch the screwdriver to the + post and pull the switch.
