Convertible top issue! Help!

My brand new to me 2006 C2S Cab has a slight issue with convertible top. The passenger side of the top does not rise as quickly as the drivers side when raising it up. It gives the error "top not seated". I have to manually assist the top by pulling on the passenger side until it gets past the mid-point where gravity takes over. The top latches fine to the windshield. Also when putting in down, it seems to drop quickly into its boot. this car only has 38k miles on it. I just bought it a week ago! of course it worked fine twice when i was checking it out. I just took it to Porsche dealer, they did full diagnostic. The top was showing no code errors. The tech on duty thought maybe piston rod, but he claimed not to be the man who knows tops. HELP! I just spent close to $50k and already have issues. my 914 never has problems!!

Sounds like low fluid in the pump. If not maybe the cylinder on that side is weak?
