Replacing torned soft top

Hello,

I tried searching around pelican and different forum, and can't find any instructions. Does anyone have access to instructions? I found reasonably priced replacement canvas on ebay, but am not sure if its something that can be considered a DIY.

has anyone try replacing the soft top themselves? How much work is involved? I planned to do this over the winter when the car is in storage

Thanks!
/G

It is labor intensive (obviously). Shops here quoted me anywhere from a one day to one week job depending on their experience level. There is a Porsche workshop manual that covers the soft top and I would not consider such a project without that.

Something to keep in mind is that a shop installed soft top will have the labor warranteed. I've already used this when one of the cross rods detached (which they are apt to do apparently.)
