Airbag Light is on
OK...I tried the electrical contact spray on the seatbelt buckles....no change. How can I tell if it is a bad Airbag Sensor Control Unit? And....are the Airbags inoperative when that light is on? Anything else that I should check? It is throwing no codes by my Reader - OBDII with Porsche software. Thanks for your help.

If the air bag light is on, there is a code, but your reader can't see it or reset it. You need a Porsche specific system such as the factory PIWIS or the Durametric software, either of which would tell the code(s) that are triggering the MIL light so you can take the appropriate steps to correct the fault.

You could also try cleaning the airbag contacts under the driver's seat.
From moving the seat back and forth for many years, the contacts sometimes get pulled around and dirt gets in there. |

What year is your car? There is a TSB for the airbag due to poor grounding in the early cars- in the middle of dealing with that myself!
