Swapping out tipt transmision on turbo

Hello all

I am installing a 2008 Tipt gearbox into a 2007 997 Turbo and have 2 questions:

1. Is there an adaptation or initialization routine for this marriage to work?
2. Do I use the old cable wiring or the new one from the new transmission?

The part numbers are the same for both years, so they should interchange.
