RPM and Throttle Position for Data Logger
I'm planning on getting a Data Logger pretty soon (probably Traqmate) to log speed, RPM, throttle position, brake, and g-force.
Has anybody with a Carera used a datalogging system to log RPM and throttle position? How did you hook it up to the data logging system? What wires and where did you use? I have an '84 911. Thanks. -Scott |

While I can't answer your question, have you looked at the DL-1 system. I know it has multiple inputs to log that kind of data. I'm not sure if the Traqmate does.

I did a search but didn't find anything on Throttle Position.
Anybody have any idea how to get throttle position on a Carrera? -Scott |

I used a simple plunger-type potentiometer mounted to the floorboard (mine's aluminum) down under the pedal. I got it from Race Technology.
The tach signal wiring came with the DL1.

Hi Jack.
This seems like the easiest solution, thanks. Do you have any pics of your setup? I'd like to see how you have it mounted. -Scott |
