Central Indiana Region DE at Putnam Park 21-23 May

Registration is open for the Central Indiana Region PCA Spring Driver's Education event at Putnam Park Road Course. Simply go to our website CIRPCA click the 'Driver's Education tab at the top of the page. Follow the page to print all necessary forms and information. Then click the ClubRegistration link to register. Please don't forget to have your car pre-teched by a certified technician before the event.

Friday open lapping will be available to advanced drivers.

I'll be there. Unfortunately I'm covering the Mecam auction in Indy Thurs and Fri, and Sat night. It's only 45 min. away, but it's going to make for a busy weekend.

How much does this cost? Is a good one to try for a beginner?

I went to a track day once last year and watched. I took my car out on the track during the open track lunch and it was a blast. Looking to try the real thing soon.

Putnam Park is a great track. One of my favorites. I've been involved with the CIR region over the years as both a participant and an instructor. They put on a great event with lots of driving time and good instruction. It is a good event for a beginner.

Registration for this event is set to close on Monday May 17th. Very few spaces remain for the weekend - but if you are qualified there is lots of room for Friday Lapping.

I think I am going to head over to Putnam on Saturday or Sunday to watch a little of this. I want to participate in one this summer still, but not quite ready. I still need to find a helmet and get my courage up before I jump in head first!

Is there a better day to go or is it all the same?

It was a great event. Well run - everything went smoothly. Great folks to be around. Lots of track time as driver and passenger. It was my first time there, but it won't be my last.
