Anyone used this set-up software?
Trying to get some user feedback before I purchase this software. Anyone here used this or used something like this that they would recommend?
Racer's Leading Edge Race Car Chassis Setup Software The features that are important to me (us) is: .- Ability to log set-up for more than one car (we are a team with three cars) .- Log set-up per race/lap with a base configuration so that we can recall best configuration for a given track with the same weather conditions etc. .- Some level of analytics to be able to compare past configurations etc.

Doesn't look impressive unless I missed something. I am pretty sure I could build a spreadsheet in 15 mins that would tally all of the same data.......
Does it actually log anything or do you have to input all of the data? Website was less than informative..... cheers

I agree with you 100% Jeff, and in the long run we will do something by our self that is web enabled so that we can easy access it etc, but for now just looking for something simple that we can start with that does not require a lot of time up-front to get up and running...
Maybe I should spend a bit of time and do it in a spreadsheet like you suggest. I am just surprised that there is not any good software available for this with all the track day drivers and club racing drivers there are?

Hi Pål ,
Unless you have a direct input from data logging that can be plotted against the precise matrix of weather/temperature/suspension settings/ECM settings/car weight/pyrometer readings, etc. , then here is what we suggest: PEN + PAPER Each car on the team has its own sheet of paper, and one can compare them by holding them side-by-side. It never fails, and is "hardware independent". Ed Last edited by RaceProEngineer; 10-06-2012 at 08:59 PM.. |

Pen + Paper is what we have been using to date Ed, and to some point is working (and probably is what we will continue to use at each event.
What I was hoping for was the ability to analyze historical data and do fast recall based on past race events - for that I think as Jeff suggested a spreadsheet will work just fine...
