what size tires are you using on 15's

I am thinking of moving down from my 16 inch Turbo wheels to 15's. What size are you using to get close to RSR fit. 15x7 15x8 or 15x9. Any suggestions?

I'm running 275/35x15 Hoosiers on 9 & 11 x15's. Very short tires but I like 'em.

I run 225/45 r15 on 8" rims. You can get 245 from Hoosier, but we usually run Nittos.

I was hoping to run 245/45 rear and 225/50 but it seems to not exist

I run Hoosier R6's.
225/45/15 and 245/50/15 on Fuchs 15x7 and 15x8.

That's a big difference in overall front/rear diameter. How do you find this set up?

Been running this tire set up for 6 years or so.
No problems.
Handling is excellent and tire wear (for Hoosiers) is reasonable.

The hot racing setup is to run 15" 8s and 9s (widest PCA Stock rules allow for SCs) with 225 or 245s front, and 275s rear. Smallest series you can get - 35, 40, 45. The idea is that a smaller diameter tire is like a shorter R&P - which it is. I was amazed the first time I saw a 275 under an SC rear fender, but they fit - barely. In the front you may have to remove the dust cover over the top of the shock/strut.

If you need a treaded track tire for vintage, the Toyo R888 can be had in a 235/50 for the rear and a 225/50 for the front.

If you can run Hoosiers, 245/50 and 225/50 is what I've been running on 7's and 8's, and a friend runs them as well on his car with RS flares. The 273/35/15 and 225/45 Hoosier is definitely the hot setup for 15's in PCA, but you already have a 7/31 R&P so you'll need to do some calculations on the gearing change. The SC guys love them but they have to stick with their 8/31.

I had 205/50 and 225/50 Toyo RA1's on my 7's and 8's as street tires for a while and I hated the look-way too small on the front.

I've got some 15x9 7/8 and 15x12 1/8 wheels for sale..... $1750
I bought them thinking they'd work for my RSR and refurbished them
and had them painted (not powder coated).
However after all said and done they don't fit over my 13" calipers..... Doh't
