High-End Cat Bypass headers for 997 GT3/RS
These headers are sold. Thanks to everyone for their interest.
Made in Germany by M and M for fvd Brombacher, these headers add upwards of 20hp and 13lbs of torque to otherwise unmodified 997.1 and 997.2 GT3s and RSs. The construction is entirely stainless steel, welded-in bungs are provided for both “pre” and “post” O2 sensors, and the headers delete the factory catalytic converters while mating to the stock, OEM Porsche side mufflers. These are great headers for anyone interested in modifying their GT3 or RS for street and track duty as the added power is felt most in the midrange and the exhaust gains a deep growl. Additionally, the ability of these headers to accept the factory O2 sensors and mate to the stock exhaust mean they are a true bolt-on modification and are easily added to and removed from the car at will. Finally, they are made with all the care and precision one would expect from a company of Brombacher’s stature and their stainless construction means they will endure the harshest use both on and off track. With the catalytic converters deleted, cars with these headers are unlikely to pass emissions tests and will have their check-engine light illuminated. This check-engine light is caused by the “post” O2 sensors, whose sole purpose is to monitor the effectiveness of the catalytic converters (now deleted). “Post” O2 sensors have no ability to alter air/fuel ratios nor influence the ECU other than illuminating the check-engine light and therefore do not affect the drivability, reliability or power of cars running these headers. We bought these for a customer who has decided to go a different direction. They have never been installed and sit as delivered from Germany: new and in their original packaging. Original price is just shy of $2,200. We are looking for $$$$$$ with the buyer paying the actual cost of the shipping of their choosing. They are also available for pickup at our Charleston, SC facility for local buyers. ![]() Last edited by autometrics; 03-17-2014 at 07:18 AM.. |
