FS: 1980 Porsche 928 *5-spd Minerva Blue*
I got this beauty almost a year ago. It was a barn find and sat since 1999. This 928 is a time capsule; absolutely amazing!
This is a two-owner car that came with all the service records from both owners. 1980 Porsche 928 5 spd manual dogleg with LSD 68,xxx original miles. Minerva Blue Exterior *Rare color* Dark Blue Leather Interior Two Sets of Wheels 18" Turbo Twists on winter tires 16" Chrome Phone Dials with Brand new tires. Built-in radar detector/jammer in the front and back. This has a very special sound system made by Audio Mobile. This was all designed and installed sometime in the 80s. From the research, I have done this sound system cost a few thousand dollars in the '80s. There is no head unit but I have purchased a period correct *looking Continental VDO Bluetooth, USB. Currently not installed. Exterior: 8 out of 10 I would give it a higher score but unfortunately, she has two dings and some minor imperfections. The biggest issue currently* is that I purchased the car with damage to the front hood and passenger fender. Looked like the previous owner scraped the front of the car somehow. I decided to just replace the hood and fender but when I got them painted the color did not match correctly. I am still working on trying to get ahold of the painter to fix this but at the moment he is ghosting me. Interior: 8 out of 10 One of the cleanest Porsches I've ever owned. No cracks in the leather, no sagging, or anything wrong with the interior.. the seats are starting to fade but I can't imagine anything different from this old of a vehicle. Drivetrain: 8 out of 10 I cannot believe how well this thing drives. I have replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, and all the fluids including the diff. Bled the brakes and clutch with ATE Super Gold. The angular joint on the shifter linkage was broken so I replaced that as well as the ball pivot release bearing which I upgraded to an 8mm. I removed the clutch and adjusted the intermediate disc as there was some grinding at first. Once adjusted that made things better. I, unfortunately, have way too many projects and not enough time with a toddler and a newborn. I wanted to keep this one forever but I can't find a way to make that work. I hate to see this just sit in the garage. This needs to be driven. $20,928 OBO Seven 2 Zero - 9 seven 5 - 6 seven 3 two Thanks, Yan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
