924 land speed roller / trailer / pit bike $3900.00

You don’t need to Bring A Trailer…just a tow vehicle. This is a car/trailer/scooter package.

Short story is that this car was (is) the current group G/C pro world land speed record holder and was built by a very pleasant and interesting engineer in KY. The car has been raced at Bonneville and other places all over the country. The motor that got this car to almost 160 mph was a special 2.0L dry sump build by the famed Michael Mount and the transmission was a real 924DP (933) transmission. I bought the whole setup just to get the engine and trans that were in the car to facilitate a 933 race car build.

The car and trailer have “aged” (dull, dirty, surface rust, real rust) from exposure to the Bonneville salt but the whole package made the tow back and forth to Utah, Maine, and other places several times, and lastly to my home several hundred miles north of KY without issue.

The motor and trans have been professionally and non-destructively removed from the car. Everything else is as I received it.

I think the car could be a basis for a 924 road racer, safari build, or further parted out. It comes with 6 WELD racing rims with moon caps, a set of roller wheels, an aluminum Kirkey seat, quick release steering wheel, dry sump tank, SS AN lines, etc. I also have a complete 1980 924 engine available that was pulled from another 924. The engine is at the race shop that’s doing the 933 build…if someone buys the package and wants the engine we can figure out a way to get it at no/minimal cost.

The trailer is an older Haulmark 24ft that I towed the car home with and then parked. It hasn't moved since. Everything in the photos goes including the race ramps.

The scooter was sold to me as a running scooter but I have not tested that. It has remained strapped in the trailer, unmoved, and as I received it.

Everything looks better in the pictures than in real life (almost makes me want to keep this stuff) but there's no junk here. I've done nothing with any of it but I'm sure with some elbow grease and work things can be made to look much prettier.

My original committed buyer wanted to convert this to a flathead V8 and run it in a different class at Bonneville but the class requirement is 1982 or newer chassis and this is a 1979 so I'll be contacting folks who PM'd me.

One update, I decided to remove the dry sump tank and oil lines as the original buyer didn't need them.
