73 RS look 3.0 hot rod, NEW PRICE!
Looking to get a new project. If I could sell mine for what I need to get into this I will do it. So the price is high - especially for this crowd :-))
73t non sunroof, S options, aluminum brakes no rust The PO had a very exhaustive repaint in the original Gulf blue 7 or 8 years ago. Body is very nice. RS rear flares 22/30 T bars Turbo tie rods Solid engine mounts sport tranny mounts elephant polybronze front a-arms and spring plates Spherical bearings - strut tops and banana pivots. adjustable Konis adjustable sways ( not the real fancy ones) adjustable spring plates autopower roll bar front strut brace race type seats - very light and suprisingly very comfy rear seat delete 79 euro SC motor, high miles very very strong!!! have compression, leakdown, and dyno numbers SSIs Aluminum Clutch Backdated heat 2 in 2 out muff and a spare 2 in 1 out (for Sundays :-)) 15x7,8 fuchs and same in BBS, well used track tires on 1 set. Bushings in the shift linkage and pedals Battery relocated to the smugglers box etc. etc. Really fast with 2300 lbs and 7:31 R&P The bad I replaced a rusty area behind the rear seats and its a bit of an amatuer job (the welding and such). The whole area was POR15 and there is no rust remaining. Just could be better. 3rd gear must be approached very slowly or double clutched. It really needs a synchro. Paint is not concours any more - very nice, but a driver. at some point in the cars life the battery blew out and there is some damage to a front battery box. The front pan suspension was just replaced. email- [email]elomard@bellsouth.net Expensive at $16.5K!! ( you could probably build this car for $18K if you did alot of the work yourself :-)) Hey if that guy can turn down $50K for his RSR replica I can dream right!!! I may consider other interesting sports car trades (especially 964s) if I cant make this deal work.

I would love to see that car in my garage (I don't want to flip it - NO WAY) I have a gulf blue targa and would simply love to have a coupe as well! Good luck man, 4|3X |

Thanks Blue, this would look good in your collection. I will let you know if I find another satisfactory 964 that is cheaper. I grew up in Kirkland and my family is there, would love to see you with the car so they cold see it around :-))

With a few variations (plus and minus), it's pretty close to my car. If I knew then what I knew now I'd pay close to $20k happily.
Anyone out there who's looking to build an RS-inspired early car, add up the cost of a dull 911T, a suspension makeover, a 3.0 swap, and bodywork and paint first. Do yourself a favor and get a big head start for a big discount by buying a car like this. |

I don't think $20K is a crazy price by any means for this car. Sure, many board members could build this car for $19500, assuming they could find a decent rust free tub, find all the parts, argue with their wife about time and money, do all the work, paint it, sort it, etc. Cake!
I think you'll have good luck on eBay with it.

whoa! Do you guys need to convert LHD imports into RHD, or are older cars exempt? |

Any car older than 30 years can remain LHD well at least in NSW I think the other states are teh same.
It is weird becuse fully restored cars will bring reasonable money but cars that have modified for track work like 2.7RS replicas will go as low as 30K AUS to as high as 80K AUS Go figure. Michael

Sounds like a business opp for you Mike. Send me a check and I will drop it off at the Savanna Port, most businesses would kill for that kind of margin :-))

Its all well and good to day its a business opp however you must remember that we have to take exchange rates into account shipping and GST
Which on a 20K car works out to be costing us nearly 30K landed. Michael |

We might have the cash but you should try our property prices.
A dumb in the burbs costs the better part of half a mill. Near the water 1 mill and on the water add zeros. Michael |
