914 project for sale

I've collected up all (or almost all) the parts and stuff to finish my '73 914 project. I have now run out of time, energy and room to complete this. I have too many other irons in the fire and something has to go - unfortunately it is this.

What is "this", and what is included? "This" is a COMPLETE, titled 1973 Porsche 914 2.0. It has the appearance group including the Fuchs 2 liter wheels (five of them), console, and chrome bumpers. The chassis is rusty, and could possibly be repaired by someone who has the time and skills to do so. I had neither, so I bought another car to use as a tub for it. I stripped the ‘new’ car out and left it as a ‘more than’ complete rolling tub. No engine or tranny in it, but I do have a long block engine that I can’t vouch for. The 2.0 engine is complete and ran when the ‘complete’ car was stored. It will likely need some type of adjustment and minor work to make it go vroom again.

The tub is titled, and mostly rust free. The two spots where there was rust - the battery tray, and rear trunk floor - have been cleaned and prepped for the NEW replacement panels that I have for those areas. The interior is mostly stripped out as it was pretty ratty, but the dash and instruments remain. The tub will need paint to make it presentable. I have a like new dash for it, a NOS front Targa seal, several, stock side view mirrors, NICE exterior door handles, new trunk rollers, etc., and all kinds of spare parts that were worth saving from the tub as I stripped it. Both of the rear trunk lids have rust issues, but should be repairable.

The “complete” car has been stored inside for most of the last 15 years. The tub has been inside for the last 2 or 3 years - since I started gutting it. I’ve lost my storage space and so they have both been outside for the last 6 months or so.

This is a package deal, I will not separate or part out, so please don’t ask. I would estimate that this is at least 95% of what you need to make a nice 914.

If you are ‘local’ to me (I’m located in N. San Diego Cnty, so anywhere from San Diego to LA) I can assist with transport on one of the vehicles if necessary -if the sale price is near my asking price. The price is $1,800 for everything I have that is 914 related.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

I've had a couple of people ask me about the interior on the 'complete' car, so here's a pic. I have a couple of other pictures I will post as I get the time. Thanks for your inquiries.
