'64C becoming available

My uncle in Tulsa - who got me interested in in Porsche many years ago, who incedentaly was a heroic B29 crewman out of Tinian in 1945, just EMailed me with notice of an estate sale copied below in quotes:

"Hi Steve, A long time Porsche club friend has died and later this month his house and cars are to be " at auction" about two blocks from our house. He had two 356's, one a black 65C car that I bought a few years ago from him. I had it for a few years then sold it to a fellow from Germany. He took the car back to Germany for resale. Now the other car, a 356, 64C car will be in the auction. It is a white car. He bought new and it is 100% original but has usual rust here and there but is a straight car. Has been driven hard but ran good till he quit driving it two or three years ago.
The engine had a complete rebuild less than 500 miles ago but dont know about the other parts of the car. If I used a one / ten scale, the car might be a five or so but would still be a rare car and fun to own and drive.
What, off the top of your head, would your guess the car might be worth at todays prices? I am so long out of the main stream I have no clue. Send me a note when you have time. The sale is 27th of this month. Harold"

True story. I expect my unce Harold is underestimating the condition and value, and I've not seen the car, but would put any PM in touch with him. No kidding, this just came to my inbox, but my "discressionary" garage space is donated to my '63B driver, and I sold my lovely 71E on this forum a few months ago. Miss it. I hope one of you Pelicanites can pick this one up. Tulsa - that 's in Oklahoma.

Thanks to those that PM's me, sorry seem to have broken my Cox internet connection at home. The status of my Uncle's neighbor's 64C in Tulsa is that it's consigned to an estate auction at the end of this month. Of course my Uncle and I want one of you guys to get the car. I will be receiving info and photo hopefully today about the details and will post this string ASAP.

This car did sell in Estate Auction last week in tulsa at $26,000. I regret I kinda dropped the ball 'cause several of you PM'd me, but I could never acquire the pertinent action details due to my Uncle's sporadic monitoring of his EMail.

His is savy about 356 condition, and after he looked it over, put it between 2 and 3 (2.5), and thus the two competiting bidders drove it up "just about right".

This will close out the string. I never even saw a photo of this white coupe, but glad that values are being sustained.
