77 Carrera non sunroof coupe

77 Carrera 3.0 Coupe (no Sun roof). Speedometer last reported approx 68K. Stopped working 3 years ago and I have put probably 2K on it since. I do not drive and have lost interest which is why I am selling. Mexico Blue, (originally Silver). To pass MA inspection, need horn fixed. I have always just rigged to pass inspection and then disconnect.

Known problems: there are a few rot spots that need weld help. Fortunately in nonvisible spots so they can be worked on while driving. Also, there is an electrical short that will drain the battery. Something to do with hazard lights because I just turn that off to keep battery from being drained when parked. Please note that the car was in an accident though it still drives straight. I discovered when I painted. It appears that it hit on the right side and then rear ended something. Both rear fenders were cut and replaced from the lights to approximately a foot in. Tires are old as well. Fine tread but old.

The interior has been stripped out and needs to be completed. I intended to make into a street/track car so I pulled out everything that I didn’t need to drive. No A/C , heat or rug. Honestly, who really likes the shag rugs of the seventies anyways. J Oh, I also pulled the window regulators out and replaced with straps. I think I have all the parts if someone wants to switch back.

The good: I gave a bare metal paint job a few years back. I would say an eight out of ten. Not show but normal people would think just fine. New items include bilstein sports in rear, (I have new fronts to go with car), turbo tie rods, SSI’s, and many others. Tranny has new sliders, synchros and other stuff.

The great: The motor runs fantastic. The motor is the highlight of this car, no doubt. It screams. Anyones tells you a C3 motor is the same as the SC hasn’t driven a C3. Great autocross or track car.

The right buyer would be a DIY and that can weld. I planned on fixing all the issues but just lost the desire. Also, all parts I have for the car will go with it.

Car drives great and I believe now realiable for a 30 year old car. My last trip was for approx 350 miles and it has basically been sitting ever since.

$8,750 firm. With much thought, I think the price is fair to both seller and buyer. Also please don't waste my time or your gas if you plan on low balling.
