Feeler: 1972 911T Targa
Feeler post.
Thinking of putting our 1972 911 Targa restoration project for sale, unfortunately due to funds needed for buying a house. Bought the car 5 years ago to do a full restore and was going to build a custom 3.0L engine with custom EFI kit. Car came with a 3.0L and 915 transmission when I bought it. Unfortunately the shop that was going to rebuild the motor for me went under and disappeared with my drive train and my money. So at this point I'm cutting my losses and moving on. Here's more information on the car: Original California 1972 Targa T model, it was factory metallic blue but was painted black. Chassis is clean and best of all rust free. Was originally a California car, I bought it in Northern Cal and took it to Arizona where I lived at the time. It has never seen rain or snow and has always been garaged all these years. I've been back to SoCal since 2009 and the car is located here now with a free and clear AZ title in hand. The previous owner who did the 3.0L transplant installed the later style oil tank in the back of the car. Good news is that I have an original and in excellent shape 72 oil tank with most of the hoses to take the car back to original. I believe the only thing needed is the 72 oil console. Car has an almost new Targa top. It has a plastic dash cover and door pockets are trashed. It has later style (74+) 911 seats in it which has rips. The rest of the interior is in very nice condition. It has nice polished Fuchs wheels. I have a lot of misc parts I had gathered over the years to restore the car which I will throw in the sale. The 72 oil tank by itself is worth $700. I have a couple of interested parties in Germany but would like a local and quick sale if possible otherwise I will consider shipping it. Asking $9500 for the car. Thanks for looking!

Sorry couldn't reply to everyone. Mailbox was full, I was on holidays and got a huge amount of interest on the car. The first person who contacted me has given me a deposit on the car.
If the deal falls through somehow, I will contact the next person in line. Thanks Pelicans! |
