We are pleased to offer this one owner 1987 Porsche 911 Targa for consideration. This car has been thoroughly enjoyed by the owner (turned PCA instructor) as his motivation for purchasing the car new was that with the purchase, Porsche at that time offered a “track drivers education” package with the purchase. On October 29, 1986, the car was purchased at Williams Auto World, Lansing, MI and a passion for motorsports was kindled. Factory options included: Central Locking System, Sport Seat left, Sport Seat right, Automatic Speed Control, Front and Rear Spoilers, Driver Power Seat and Co2 emissions. Since, the car was primarily used for track education at PCA events, and private track days. As his experience evolved and newer 911 models introduced so did the car. First the professionally installed cage, then upgraded wheels and tires. Next came the Motronic fuel management system and the Automotion chp. Eventually upgraded brakes, upgraded suspension, bump steer kit and the list goes on. All the while keeping pace with the new technology he had to face year after year. Amazingly enough, through all the events and track time the car remains accident and incident free and still retains 90 percent of its original paint. Mechanically, the car remains excellent and has consistently looked after by the skilled hands of Steinel's Autowerks inc. of Twinsburg, OH. The combination of consistent care, professional maintenance and set up, and thoughtful driving, has produced a car that is extremely well balanced, precisely corner weighted, and with the proper skill can still and a challenging track can still run with cars 20 years to the newer. Weather a seasoned veteran who is looking for a fun track toy or a novice looking to develop skills and run some track days or PCA events, there is no down side in the car offered here. All 106123 miles on this car have been done with a smile and a passion to develop ones motorsports skills. This 1987 Porsche 911 targa has much more to give in that department and currently the car is turn-key, balanced and ready for the next event. The car retains the original option tag from the factory, the factory color sticker, vin stickers in the doors, service records and original key pouch.
