2008 Cayenne Turbo, 37k miles, well-optioned ($116k sticker)

I'm considering selling my Cayenne Turbo since I have new commute and bought a BMW diesel and have three long hood under restoration.

Here's the skinny on it:
2008 Porsche Cayenne Turbo
VIN WP1AC29P88LA94659
Black with Chestnut/Black Leather Interior

This is an enthusiastically-kept three-owner Cayenne Turbo. I searched for this 957 CTT for a long time because I wanted a certain interior color, options, condition, and low mileage and this one ticked all the right boxes. It’s actually a bit more “murdered out” than I would have selected myself, but the rest of the spec and condition were perfect for me. The previous owner was fastidious and stored the car during winters. It appears always to have been garaged and certainly has been so as long as I have owned it.

Options and Accessories:
The Cayenne Turbo base price was $93,700 and this one stickered at $116,140. The original window sticker is included and lists the following options:
Natural Leather Chestnut/Black ($1,510)
Dark Wood Multi-Fnctn Str Whl ($240)
Light Comfort Package/Memory ($610)
Exterior Package Black ($320)
Satellite Radio XM ($750)
Porsche Dynamic Chassis Cntrl ($3510)
Front & Rear Flr Mats Int Cllr ($140)
Panoramic Roof System ($3,900)
Cargo Management System ($590)
Porsche Entry and Drive ($995)
Rear Camera Incl Park Asst ($1,680)
21” Cayenne Sportplus Painted ($6,150)
Sports Tail Pipe ($1,150)
Destination Charge ($895)

Additionally, this Cayenne has the retractable luggage net, 6-disc CD changer, an extra set of new OEM floor mats, OEM rubber all-weather mats, clear bra (entire front fenders, hood, door edges, front bumper), tinted windows, iTronic Bluetooth system with hard wired iPod input, built-in K40 radar system and laser jammers, and Fabspeed mufflers. It has been lowered using the Duratmetric OBD cable. All you need is this cable, which cost about $300, and a laptop to adjust the default settings, as opposed to a $1000-$2000 module from a tuner, and it can be undone in about 10 minutes. The adjustability of the ride height still functions.

History:
This CTT was sold new by Loeber Motors in Lincolnwood, Illinois. Its pre-delivery inspection was performed with 5 miles on the odometer on 27 February 2008, and it appears to have been sold to its first owner in May. The 6-disc CD changer was added for its first owner. In addition to the accessories mentioned above, it comes with both keys, its original books set with pouch, window sticker, invoices from my ownership period, as well as full service history printout from Loeber Motors, who serviced the car until I bought it and transported it to California.

The second owner lived reasonably nearby (on the border of Illinois and Iowa) and purchased it in 2012 with as a CPO vehicle from Loeber. He told me it was stored during winters and based on the condition, I believe it. I bought it from him in February of 2015 with 33,570 miles on the odometer. Shortly before I bought it, the brake fluid, transmission fluid, and coolant were renewed. I am an old-school Porsche enthusiast and aside from a 987 Cayman S that someone traded to me for a slate grey 1968 912 I had, this is the only water-cooled Porsche I’ve owned. I’ve had about a dozen long hoods, a 930, several Carrera 3.2s, and a couple 964s. I’m selling it because I got a new job that requires about 400 miles a week in commuting and between the fuel economy and low mileage/condition of this Cayenne, I decided it would make more sense to buy a BMW 335d, which I have done (Le Mans blue M-Sport). I have two 1966 912s and a 1968 911 (all three under restoration), as well as a Ferrari 308 GT4 Dino and a 964 RS clone and would need to pay $200 a month to store the Cayenne plus another $1000-$1200 a year in insurance, so it’s difficult to justify spending $3500 a year for something I no longer use very much.

Since buying it, I had the front brake pads renewed and the oil changed. I also lowered it (easily reversible). Additionally, less than two months after buying it, I was rear ended while stopped at a traffic light. I had it towed to the body shop I have been using for more than ten years and told them to “fix it like I’m not paying for it,” which they did. Because the exhaust system was crunched in the collision, I had them install the Fabspeed exhaust at this time. The work was done to the very high standards I demand in my cars.

Condition:
This CTT is in excellent overall condition, with the only blemishes of note being a few small scratches around the car, some on the left doors and on the fender extensions. The fender extensions come with the 21” wheels (one of the required features when I was shopping) and add a lot to the presence of a CTT in my opinion. The glass and lights are excellent, and the wheels are free of curb rash. The interior is also excellent with light creasing to the driver’s seat bolster and other minor wear commensurate with the mileage. Overall, it’s in excellent shape and it appears that most people assume it’s much newer than it is. Everything works to my knowledge, from the pano roof to the power rear hatch, memory functions, heated seats etc.

In short, this is an excellent example that was well-optioned to begin with and obviously had enthusiastic owners who added various other costly but subtle and functional accessories at a cost of many thousands of dollars. I think you’ll be hard-pressed to find another 958 CTT with this mileage that’s as complete, well-maintained, well-documented, or hooked up as this one.

$37,500 and it's in San Francisco.

Forgot to mention that I'd be very interested to trade for a well-maintained SC or Carrera 3.2 Coupe with highish mileage (100k plus) of equal or lesser value.
