1980 911 SC with mods.
This car is a driver. I have done DEs and road trips with it. i.e. I have enjoyed the car. This has been a very reliable, dependable car. I never hesitated to get in and take it on short or long road trips. It was not driven in Winter. I was going to convert it to a track machine but discovered I enjoyed driving it on the road too much. Not sure how much to ask for as I know its not stock. Hoping for $35K/BO.
All work was done by professional mechanics or under the guidance of professional Porsche tuners. Here is some info about it: 1. Gold exterior paint is in generally good shape, no rust that I can see. It is a 10 foot car. Most nicks and scratches in the paint have been touched up. The passenger door was keyed and has been touched up. Front clip under the bumper is nicked up a bit. 2. Brown interior Seats are in decent shape no tears, but the bolsters have some wear. Seats are comfortable though. For most of the past 10 years they have had Wet Okole seat covers on them. 3. 7 front and 8 rear Fuchs alloys. I have both the magnesium and steel lugs. All wheels are in good shape, the 8 rears are in excellent shape. 4. The original Blaupunkt stereo was replaced with a Sony. There is a 100 Watt amplifier under the passenger seat, new speakers in the doors and rear. 5. The engine is a 3.2 Carrera unit rebuilt and installed in the car by Ross Motorsport in Indiana. Engine has approximately 20K miles since rebuild. 6. Engine has backdated heat, SSI heat exchangers, new heater control valves, and new heater control cables. 7. Currently installed are Rebel Racing SS motor and transmission mounts. I still have the rubber sport mounts (4) for the car. 8. Muffler is a 2 inlet 1 outlet sport muffler form a 74 Carrera. Has the catalyst deleted. 9. Steve Wong chip for SSI and sport exhaust. I have the original chip as well. 10. Engine has a new Spec flywheel, new Sachs power clutch and the original aluminum pressure plate. 11. Transmission was rebuilt with new gears by Johnson Autosport. Will update with gear ratios but the back stretch at Brainerd can all be handled in third gear. 1st and 2nd gear synchros were rebuilt two years ago. 12. Wevo 915 shifter in black finish, also has a Wevo precision shift joint. New shifter bushings. 13. Suspension has been completely rebuilt with elephant racing components: a. 22mm front and 29mm rear hollow torsion bars b. Polybronze bushings front and rear. c. Low friction control arm mounts d. Monoball front and rear cartridges for strut and control arm mounting. e. The Bilstein sport shocks and struts were custom valved by Elephant Racing to match the new torsion bars. f. Replaced the ball joints. 14. Front suspension control arms were powder coated silver. 15. Rennline triangulated front strut tower brace. 16. Sway bars from an 86 Carrera, new sway bar drop links. 17. Turbo tie rods installed. 18. Bump steer kit installed spacers for the steering rack to raise it up. 19. Front and rear wheel bearings were recently replaced. 20. All four CV joints were replaced on the drive shafts. 21. Replaced the fuel pump and filter. 22. The original trombone oil cooler in the front passenger wheel well has been replaced with a wide mouth Carrera oil cooler. Oil temps in the summer at the track dont go above 180 degrees. 23. All four of the SC calipers have been rebuilt. New rotors Power Slot Cryo treated rotors. I use the OEM compound brake pads as they are easy on the rotors. 24. Emergency brakes shoes and cables replaced. 25. Magnecor 8.5mm red ignition wire set. 26. Denso Iridium spark plugs. 27. Momo Prototipo steering wheel. 28. New heater fan and control box. 29. New black door pockets. 30. New front cockpit carpets, Rennline track mat. 31. New front trunk carpets german charcoal. 32. The A/C was deleted by the previous owner. I kept the blower in the smugglers box as it does provide some relatively colder air into the cockpit. Any other questions or pictures please let me know. I have some more detailed pictures but due to the size limit I'm putting the basic ones up here. Thanks ![]()
